SingTel to launch iPhone in September?

25 Mar 2008

Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) is said to be planning to launch Apple’s iPhone handset in September, although it is remaining tight-lipped over whether it has as yet struck a deal with the maker of the device, Channel News Asia reports. A spokesman for SingTel declined to comment on the report. If true, SingTel would be the first company in Asia to officially launch the product in the region. In January this year China Mobile turned its back on talks to launch the iPhone in China.
