ZTE: Emcali's NGN expansion ready this year

Chinese telecoms equipment vendor ZTE has said it expects to wrap up the expansion of Cali-based utilities company Emcali’s next generation network this year, writes BNamericas. Emcali recently signed a contract with ZTE for the deployment of 90,000 IP telephony and 40,000 broadband ports. In 2007 Emcali added 25,279 fixed lines to its network to take its total to 481,000. In addition it claimed 40,000 broadband subscribers.
