Solo? Fido? Telus: 'me too' – alter-ego Koodo is pseudo MVNO

20 Mar 2008

Canada’s third largest mobile operator by subscribers Telus Mobility has launched an alternative mobile brand, Koodo Mobile, aimed at the discount and youth-oriented markets. Koodo Mobile is owned by Telus but will function as a separate virtual operator, in an attempt to compete with its main rivals Rogers and Bell’s well-established Fido and Solo brands, as well as independent MVNOs such as Virgin, which operates over Bell’s network.
