19 Mar 2008

Telecom Italia (TI) has declined to comment on rumours that it has received three separate offers for its French broadband business Telecom Italia France (Alice). Unconfirmed press reports suggest the Italian firm has received bids of at least EUR800 million (USD1.26 billion) from neuf Cegetel, Iliad (Free) and YPSO/Numericable. The TI unit was recently valued at around EUR660 million.
