Telefonica Empresas to up spending by 30% in 2008

BNamericas.com reports that Telefonica Empresas, the corporate services unit of Telefonica de Argentina, expects to invest ARS100 million (USD32 million) in 2008, 30% more than last year. Daniel Miodownik, the unit’s marketing director, said that spending will be mainly targeted at providing integral communications solutions to large corporations and SMEs in the country. Half of the expected investment will be set aside for the data segment, notably for the provision of broadband access solutions for VPNs. The rest will go towards developing fixed-mobile convergent services, mobility applications and the expansion of IT services.
