FastWeb strikes MVNO deal with NSN

12 Mar 2008

Italian internet service provider FastWeb has chosen Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) as its technology partner for its forthcoming launch as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). FastWeb plans to begin reselling mobile services later this year and says NSN will provide it with a suite of convergent core network products and network implementation services. NSN will deliver the network control service, featuring its Intelligent Service Node, during the first quarter, ensuring that the whole system is in place for the MVNO launch, scheduled for the second half of the year. FastWeb recently signed a wholesale mobile deal with 3G network operator 3 Italia.
