Tunc bids for Georgia WiMAX contract

WiMAX Day reports that Swiss vendor Tunc Holding hopes to win a contract from Warid Telecom to build a WiMAX network in Georgia. Warid was recently awarded a licence for 3.5GHz spectrum and is required to launch a network within twelve months. Tunc announced last week that it is participating in a tender bid worth roughly USD9 million for the installation of 400 base stations in the twelve regions of Georgia.
