The head of the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has expressed concern at the alleged blocking of file-sharing traffic by cable operator Comcast. Kevin Martin was commenting on complaints from consumer groups which claim that Comcast has throttled internet traffic on file-sharing services such as BitTorrent. ‘One of the most important and one of the most troubling aspects of the complaints in front of us is that at first the network operator denied that they were engaged in this kind of a practice publicly,’ Reuters reports Martin as saying. Comcast has made no immediate response to the comments.
