Entel reports EUR210m year end revenue

Telecom Italia is reporting that its 50% owned Bolivian subsidiary, Entel, has reported a 9% increase in revenues to EUR210 million (USD322 million) for the year ended 31 December 2007, up from EUR192 million the year before. EBITDA increased 20% to EUR98 million, with an EBITDA margin of 47%. Entel’s operating income decreased 15% to EUR72 million in the same period. Entel’s wireless arm, Entel Movil, reported 22% subscriber growth to 1.75 million, whilst broadband subscriptions rose 68% to 141,000, up from 84,000 at the end of 2006.
