Net Servicos, one of Brazil’s largest pay TV providers, has selected equipment vendor Arris to expand its VoIP and high speed data services, the company has revealed in a statement quoted by BNamericas. The deal includes the supply of the vendor’s C4 Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS), which will provide high speed data and VoIP telephony services to customers in cities including Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Brasilia and Santos. ‘As the Brazilian broadband landscape becomes more competitive, we must continue to offer our customers the widest variety of telecommunications services available, and we were impressed with the C4’s density, scalability and all-component redundancy,’ said Net CEO Jose Antonio Felix. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.
