Irish users to get iPhone in March

O2 Ireland has confirmed that it will be the exclusive carrier for Apple’s iPhone in Ireland and the model will debut in the Republic on 14 March. The cellco will sell the smart phone through its retail outlets and through Carphone Warehouse. It is understood the handset will cost EUR399 (USD599) for the 8GB version and EUR499 for the 16GB version. O2 is launching two new iPhone tariffs, with monthly fees starting at EUR45, for a package including anytime, cross-network minutes, texts and a 1GB data bundle.
