Surf’s up: StarHub doubles download speeds for SurfLite users

Singaporean telecoms operator StarHub has announced that from 1 March subscribers to its cable broadband internet product MaxOnline SurfLite wil be able to enjoy higher download speeds at no extra cost. The company is doubling users’ maximum bandwidth allocation from 1Mbps to 2Mbps at no additional cost. MaxOnline SurfLite was launched in November 2007 and targets users with low data download requirements, typically being single internet user households. As at 31 December 2007 there are 346,000 households on MaxOnline post-paid services, the company said.
