Mexican cellco Iusacell has reported a net loss of MXN1.285 billion (USD119.2 million) for the year ended 31 December 2007, compared to a net profit of MXN4.032 billion the year earlier. Net revenues rose by 28% to MXN10.274 billion, from MXN8.042 billion, while EBITDA climbed 46% to MXN2.104 billion. EBITDA margin in 2007 was 20%, two percentage points higher than in 2006. Grupo Isuacell and one-time wireless rival Unefon Holdings merged in the second quarter of 2007. At the end of December, the merged company claimed four million subscribers, an increase of 91% in twelve months, 75% of which are pre-paid.
