TelstraClear back in black

New Zealand alternative telecoms operator TelstraClear reported net income before interest and tax of NZD1.1 million (USD875,000) for the six months ended 31 December 2007, reversing a loss of NZD6.5 million a year earlier, its best half-year results under the newly adopted IFRS accounting rules, it said. Six-month earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rose 16% to NZD73.3 million, although revenues fell 1.5% to NZD344.3 million.
