The state-owned telco Sentech has finally received the ZAR500 million (USD65 million) cash boost promised last September to help fund the rollout of its wireless broadband networks. ‘The board is still in discussions with the minister and the communications department to agree on the business model that Sentech will implement,’ Sentech said in a statement. The firm is one of four companies with WiMAX licences in South Africa, alongside Telkom SA, iBurst and Neotel.
