MTS Belarus reports strong growth in 2007

Belarusian mobile operator MTS Belarus, backed by the Russian Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) group, has reported strong subscriber gains for 2007, with the total number of registered users climbing 18.5% year-on-year to 3.8 million by 1 January 2008 – a market share of 50.7%. The cellco also reported full-year revenues of USD1.076 billion in 2007 and tax payments of USD285.4 million.
