Indian cellco Idea Cellular, part of the Aditya Birla Group, ended 2007 with 21.05 million GSM customers across eleven telecoms circles. Revenues for the three months ended 31 December were INR17.1 billion (USD430 million), a 48.4% increase on the INR11.53 billion recorded in the same period in 2006. EBITDA climbed 51.5% to INR6.68 billion, while profit after tax more than doubled to INR2.37 billion.
