AT&T’s Mexican arm Alestra, has posted a 4% rise in 2007 EBITDA to MXN1.33 billion (USD119 million) compared to MXN1.27 billion in 2006. Operating income was MXN455 million, up 143% from MXN187 million, while revenues grew 11% to MXN5.06 billion compared to MXN4.54 billion a year ago. Fourth quarter revenues fell 8%, however, due to declining long-distance traffic, which fell 8% compared to the previous quarter and 21% compared to the same period of 2006. However, the company said that during the October to December period it continued to expand its non-long distance revenues and value added services. Alestra is budgeting CAPEX of USD70 million in 2008, up from USD55 million in 2007.
