Bouygues’ 2007 revenues beat forecasts

The French telecoms and construction conglomerate Bouygues yesterday posted its full year revenues for 2007, reporting a 12% year-on-year rise in sales on the back of a buoyant building sector and sales of its real estate, Reuters reports. The group said revenues in the year to 31 December reached EUR29.60 billion (USD43.11 billion), up from EUR26.40 billion in 2006 and higher than its own forecast of EUR29.25 billion. Bouygues’ telecoms arm reported full year sales of EUR4.8 billion, up 6% y-o-y. The company is scheduled to file its full financial results for 2007 on 27 February.
