Alternative telecoms operator neuf Cegetel reported having 750,000 French IPTV at the end of last year, 150,000 more than the figure reported in June 2007. At the same date the company said its DSL subscriber base had climbed by more than a million in a year to reach 3.22 million by 31 December 2007, a market share of 21%. The operator, which is backed by the Louis Dreyfus Group and SFR, recently introduced a bouquet of five new international channels to its IPTV service including a couple of Brazilian channels – TV Record Europa and a Brazilian news channel – not available anywhere else in mainland France. The other channels are CLP TV, an entertainment channel for Portuguese speakers, a Cambodian-language channel Apsara TV, and Guyson TV, offering news in French from Guyson International News.
