Finnish telco Elisa has reported fourth quarter profits almost in line with forecasts. In the three months ended 31 December 2007 Elisa posted EBITDA of EUR128 million (USD186 million), compared with EUR119 million a year earlier. Revenue for the period was virtually unchanged at EUR402 million. The company’s board proposed a 2007 dividend of EUR1.8 per share. Elisa Chief Executive Veli-Matti Mattila said in a statement that growth had been boosted by a 7% increase in the number of wireless subscriptions and the launch of new services. Average revenue per user (ARPU) improved to EUR30.1 from the previous quarter’s EUR29.9.
