DiGi net profit jumps to MYR1 billion

DiGi.Com’s net profit jumped 32% to MYR1.06 billion (USD328 million) for the year ended 31 December 2007, while revenue climbed 19% to MYR4.36 billion. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by 25% to MYR2.11 billion, helping the EBITDA margin to climb two percentage points to 48.4%. DiGi said it expected to incur between MYR600 million and MYR800 million in additional CAPEX in the first three years of its 3G infrastructure rollout programme, of which up to MYR200 million will be incurred in 2008.
