BT stops marketing Fusion

According to the Daily Telegraph, BT Group has stopped marketing its mobile phone service Fusion and is developing a ‘radical new mobile strategy’ to target consumers.The telco has reportedly ceased advertising to consumers, but is continuing some marketing to businesses, after just 45,000 people signed up for the service since it was launched, the newspaper said. In the summer of 2005, BT said it was expecting Fusion to generate most of an expected GBP1 billion of revenue from new mobile and convergence services within five years, predicting that ‘millions’ of customers would join.
