NPT calls for applications for 1785MHz-1805MHz band

5 Feb 2008

Norwegian telecoms regulator, the Post and Telecommunications Authority (NPT), has received an application for a national spectrum licence of 5MHz in the 1785MHz-1805MHz band. In order to give other parties an opportunity to express their interest regarding use of the frequency band, NPT has requested interested parties to submit competing applications before 25 February 2008. If no interest is expressed by other parties within this deadline, the unnamed applicant will be awarded a spectrum licence valid until 31 December 2023. If NPT receive competing applications within the deadline, NPT may decide to assign the licence by auction.
