Belgian wireless network operator Mobistar has reported a decrease in full year 2007 profits, as lower mobile termination rates and roaming tariffs put pressure on the group’s bottom line. Net profit dropped to EUR289.9 million (USD429 million) from EUR299.5 million a year earlier. EBITDA fell from EUR614.6 million to EUR592.2 million, while sales fell to EUR1.51 billion from EUR1.55 billion, at the lower end of analysts’ expectations. Mobistar claimed 3.49 million active customers at the end of December, up 10.7% year-on-year. Its Luxembourg subsidiary VOX Mobile claimed 74,560 customers at the same date, up 11.3%.
