Huawei deploys Telkom CDMA2000 network

Chinese equipment vendor Huawei Technologies and Telkom Indonesia have successfully installed a CDMA2000 network aimed at significantly reducing the telco’s transmission costs, the two companies said in a statement. The Huawei-supplied network, which comprises 3606C Base Transceiver Stations and 3601CE ODU (Optic Distributed Units), covers parts of Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, and Sumatera. The CDMA2000 technology will be mainly used for voice telephony, TV and broadband data services.
