YPSO/Numericable interested in Telecom Italia’s Alice France unit

YPSO, the holding company of French cable operator Numericable, has offered to buy Telecom Italia’s ISP Alice France, reports Le Figaro, and has filed a submission with Calyon, the investment bank of Credit Agricole mandated by Telecom Italia to sell its French subsidiary. Alice France had 882,000 customers at the end of September 2007, has been valued at between EUR600 million and EUR650 million (USD880 million and USD956 million). Numericable and Telecom Italia France both declined to comment at this time.
