24 Jan 2008

Nepal’s largest ever initial public offering (IPO) kicked off yesterday with the government looking to sell 15 million shares, or 10%, of the national fixed line PTO Nepal Telecom (NT). The state aims to raise at least NPR9 billion (USD138.4 million) from the process, and has set a minimum price of NPR600 on each share – a face value of NPR100 each, plus a premium of NPR500 per share. The offer will last for 35 days.
