MT still interested in eastern Europe acquisitions

Following its recent failure to acquire Telekom Slovenije, Hungarian incumbent fixed line operator Magyar Telekom (MT) says it is considering fresh acquisition targets in eastern Europe. The company’s chief financial officer told portfolio.hu the company was keeping a check on a number of possible targets: ‘At the moment it’s Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo and Ukraine where the sale of telecommunications companies can be expected in the near future and in which we may be interested,’ Kusch said.
