Telenor celebrates 15 millionth customer in less than three years

Telenor Pakistan has announced that it added its 15 millionth customer – a landmark it has achieved in less than three years of operations. In 2007 the company’s subscriber base grew by nearly 200%, helping it to turn EBITDA positive in Q2 2007. Commenting on what has propelled Telenor Pakistan to achieve such performance in the face of intense competition, its CEO Tore Johnsen said: ‘Telenor Pakistan is obviously different from the competition.
