According to a report from Reuters, Japanese telecoms group eAccess is looking to use its recently acquired stake in rival provider ACCA Networks to force the company to replace its top management with an eAccess team. eAccess edged out a NTT-owned unit to become ACCA’s leading shareholder last week and has now submitted a shareholder proposal calling on ACCA to replace its current president Masaharu Kimura and two other leading executives. eAccess, which now holds a 13.1% stake in ACCA, hopes a new management team would be more open to working with eAccess in ADSL broadband internet access and wireless services, Reuters said.
