Indonesian mobile operator PT Excelcomindo Pratama (Excelcom) is looking to boost its income in 2008 by 20% year-on-year to IDR9.36 trillion (USD992 million), the company’s President Director Hasnul Suhaimi told reporters yesterday. According to Antara News, the operator’s income target for the coming financial year is based on an anticipated 10% to 30% drop in telecoms tariffs in 2008, following a recent statement on the subject by the communications and information minister. The planned reduction in telecoms tariffs will, however, have no marked impact on Excelcom’s operational income, Suhaimi said.
