Etisalat doubles internet speed

UAE incumbent Etisalat has introduced a 4Mbps download speed broadband package to its Al-Shamil product range. This is double the previous maximum available speed of 2Mbps. Subscription to the new service costs AED449 (USD122) a month. The operator has also brought in free access to its network of 250 Wi-Fi hotspots for its broadband subscribers; Al-Shamil customers using services of 1Mbps or above will now get four hours free usage included in their monthly package.
