France in second push for fourth mobile licence amendment

18 Dec 2007

The French government will mount a second attempt to get parliament to vote in favour of an amendment to the financial terms and conditions of the country’s fourth mobile licence, Les Echos reports. The National Assembly voted against the amendment to relax payment terms for the concession during a debate on the 2008 budget law. However, the government has reintroduced the amendment as part of a competition bill which is being voted on by the lower house this week.
