PTK Centertel, the Polish cellco which operates under the Orange Poland banner, has signed a mobile virtual network operator agreement with cableco Aster. Centertel now has four such agreements in place, the others being with Avon Cosmetics, MNI Telecom and Wirtualna Polska.
Aster, which is owned by private equity group Mid Europa Partners, provides triple-play services to residents of three Polish cities. It claimed 370,000 analogue TV subscribers at the end of September 2007, and more than 50,000 digital TV users. It also had more than 120,000 broadband 50,000 fixed line telephony users.
