Public agencies to get free satellite broadband

BNamericas reports that Uruguay’s government expects to provide free satellite broadband services for public agencies in the country by August 2008. According to a bulletin from news service Infoycom, the head of the telecoms regulator URSEC, Leon Lev, said that the project will be developed jointly with its counterpart in Venezuela.
