German cableco Unitymedia has announced its results for the three months ended 30 September 2007. Revenues increased 26% year-on-year to EUR186 million (USD275.1 million) while EBITDA rose 24% in comparison with 3Q 2006, to EUR83 million. This gave an EBITDA margin (EBITDA upon total revenue) of 45%. CAPEX for the third quarter of 2007 stood at EUR40 million, while net income was EUR13.9 million for the quarter, making cumulative losses of EUR27.8 million during the first nine months of the year. In operational terms, Unitymedia claimed a 7% growth in its revenue-generating unit (RGU) base in the year to 30 September 2007, to 5.807 million. Out of these, 236,200 took a high speed internet service while 133,600 subscribed to Unity’s fixed line telephony offering.
Unitymedia is headquartered in Cologne and its network passes well over 8.6 million homes in Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia.
