Telekom Austria postpones bond issue

28 Nov 2007

Telekom Austria has postponed a planned bond issue due to unfavourable market conditions. The firm had intended to issue a medium maturity corporate bond of at least EUR500 million (USD742 million), but chief financial officer Hans Tschuden now says: ‘’The current margins of 90 to 100 basis points are not attractive enough at present, and we will wait until conditions are more favourable,’ APA reports. He adds: ‘We’re under no time pressure, we can even wait past next year.’
