NSN awarded GSM contract by Bouygues

28 Nov 2007

Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has been awarded a contract by Bouygues Telecom to supply GSM equipment to improve the cellco’s GSM indoor mobile coverage. Under the deal the vendor will install its small-sized Pico GSM Base Stations and IP-based infrastructure, allowing for improved coverage in high rise offices, underground areas and hotspots. The deal is an extension of a frame agreement signed by the two companies and will see NSN design, install, integrate and provide maintenance services for the new equipment. The system is expected to come on line for customers before the end of the month.
