RomTelecom sale to begin again

27 Nov 2007

The Romanian government is to re-launch its part-privatisation of RomTelecom and will soon begin the search for a new sale advisor. A previous sale process was halted late last year when it emerged that confidential documents relating to the privatisation had been leaked to prospective purchasers. The state retains a 45.99% stake in Romania’s dominant wireline operator, with OTE of Greece holding the remainder.
