Cell C says weekend offer boosts take-up

26 Nov 2007

Cell C, the smallest of South Africa’s three mobile network operators, activated 850,000 new pre-paid customers in the three months to the end of September, according to a report from local website MyADSL. The rapid growth has been attributed to the success of its Woza Weekend product, which offers 60 free weekend minutes for calls between Cell C customers. The firm now has around four million subscribers.
