Telecom Paper reports that cellco Vodafone Germany has filed an injuction in a Hamburg court against T-Mobile Germany’s exclusive sales agreement for the Apple iPhone, according to Vodafone Germany’s CEO Friedrich Joussen cited by the German press. A Deutsche Telekom (DT) spokesman confirmed the injunction filing. Joussen said that the injunction is not intended to stop the sales of the iPhone, rather to make the iPhone available on every German mobile network. The verdict is expected in around two weeks. Joussen said that he is afraid that other mobile phone manufacturers will follow Apple’s example by signing similar exclusivity deals.
