Du passes one million mark

Du, the UAE’s second national operator, has announced the addition of its one millionth mobile customer, exactly nine months after launch of cellular services in February. ‘The reaching of a milestone such as this is a moment of pride, as it indicates we are not only on target, but we are successfully connecting with our customers across the UAE,’ said CEO Osman Sultan. Du offers nationwide wireless telephony in addition to internet and pay-TV in some of Dubai’s free zones. Call select services were launched over incumbent Etisalat’s fixed line network in July.
