Far EasTone develops VoIP over HSPA

16 Nov 2007

Taiwan’s Far EasTone has signed a contract with Finnish software vendor Movial to provide VoIP over its HSPA mobile network and over home Wi-Fi connections, for handset and laptop users. The operator says the new service will enable it to reach ‘millions’ of new broadband wireless subscribers and current DSL users. The service gives consumers one phone number for both their PC/laptop and mobile phone, and one combined bill.
