Lithuanian incumbent telco TEO LT is increasing the bandwidth of its wireless internet access points (Wi-Fi hostpots), branded ZEBRA Belaidis, from 5Mbps to 10 Mbps. The operator runs a network of around 3,000 hotspots throughout the country. According to TEO Marketing Officer Nerijus Ivanauskas, Lithuanian companies are beginning to appreciate the benefits of wireless internet access points for employees on business trips or working outside the office. A recent Gallup poll revealed that 5% of Lithuanian companies make use of the ZEBRA Belaidis service, which costs LTL10 to LTL25 (USD4 to USD11) per month, depending on the number of users.
