Macedonia (FYROM) calls 3G licence tender

Macedonia’s telecoms regulator the Agency for Electronic Communications (AEC) has called a tender for one licence to offer 3G UMTS mobile services in the country. The licence is understood to be worth EUR10 million (USD14.6 million) and interested parties are requested to indicate in their offers approximate retail prices, as well as prices for other mobile and fixed line operators and internet providers. Bids will be opened on 11 January 2008.
