Competition to hit Telkom earnings

Telkom South Africa says it expects first-half earnings per share (EPS) to fall by between 14% and 20% compared to 1H 2006. The firm says earnings are being hit by aggressive competition, which includes the bundling of voice and data products, and increased investments. Telkom is due to release its interim financial results in 19 November.
