United Internet reports 3Q results

German ISP United Internet has reported its results for the first nine months of 2007. Revenues grew by 27.1% to EUR1.07 billion (USD1.57 billion) compared to the same period in 2006. EBTIDA was also on the up, climbing 32.9% year-on-year to EUR235.5 million, whilst the group’s pre-tax profit improved by 29.6% to EUR182.0 million.

Domestic DSL subscriptions stood at 2.54 million at 30 September 2007, up 470,000 over the previous twelve months. One of the main revenue growth drivers was the non-German webhosting business, which achieved net additions of 390,000 customer contracts since September 2006, to reach 1.55 million at 30 September 2007. Taken as a whole, the webhosting business enjoyed 3.2 million customers at the same date.
