Entel reports 3Q results

Chilean telco Entel has reported a 6% year-on-year increase in revenues in the third quarter of 2007 to CLP216.3 billion (USD436 million), fuelled by growth in its wireless customer base, as well as higher voice and value added services. In the three months ended 30 September 2007 EBITDA rose 10% to CLP91.1 billion, while net income rose 24% to CLP35.5 billion. The group’s wireless arm Entel PCS reported an 11% increase in turnover to CLP166.9 billion, with the number of customers climbing 14% to 5.42 million, of which 26% were post-paid.
