Verizon teams with Sony for bite-sized mobile TV

24 Oct 2007

Verizon Wireless has signed a deal with Sony Pictures Television to offer classic TV shows over its VCAST mobile video platform. Customers can access clips of shows such as Diff’rent Strokes, Charlie’s Angels, Bewitched and Fantasy Island, with each full episode split into smaller ‘minisodes’ to offer what the companies call ‘snack-sized entertainment’. Verizon charges USD3.00 a day or USD15.00 a month for access to VCAST content.
